Dr Monica Carrer
Dr Monica Carrer is a researcher in Peace and Conflict Studies, and creator of the Everyday Peace Community. I have worked as a consultant on digital strategy development with organisations like Min-On (Japan) and the Journal of Resistance Studies (University of Massachusetts).
Why this Programme?
I am a peace researcher, and I never imagined that I would dedicate myself to digital technologies. I did so because I experienced it firsthand: I realized that to make an impact for peace, digital technologies and developing a web presence are essential. However, digital marketing and digital solutions are usually designed for profit rather than for activism, peace, or social impact.
I also know what it feels like when you don’t have the resources to hire an agency, and you have to do everything yourself with limited resources. It can feel impossible!
Well, now it is possible!Â
The Digital Activist Academy is not just a course. It is a flexible coaching environment where you get all the help and resources you need to achieve results for growing your initiative. It empowers you to build scalable solutions that are simple enough for beginners to implement. It’s also a space for accountability, with someone to encourage and support you to get things done every single month. The trainings will be tailored to the needs of the members, so you can access exactly what you need for your initiative.
