Using TikTok looking for answers
First time I used this app and was fascinated by all the funny people who do try to grab attention or to simply make a day-use for their time. Especially during the lock down which no one opened up about how scary this experience was and it seems TikTok acted like just like an escape for many.
However this app turned recently to be such a triggering and a place where people can share their traumatic experiences, and while the reporting feature is not working enough on the app. You may suddenly scroll to watch videos of desperate call for help, coping with disabilities, rising rate of homeless people which come without a warning.
Sometimes you even forget this is a fun app where all the sad people can share their stories, but the algorithms on this app are mind-blowing that they may show you tens of depressing videos without any diverting towards something lighter to watch. Such an experience says a lot about the app and the need for sometime off social media apps altogether for what they can do to your brain.
